Plan City – Design, Evaluation and Communications of the Urban Environment

Speaking at the conference, Rachel Rowson, AccuCities Operations Manager, explained: “Plan.City is a set of site evaluation and presentation tools for the Architects and Urban Planners.”, says Rachel. “Plan.City encapsulates London as a purpose-oriented digital twin – that is, for architecture and planning. You are able to exploit the data with new sets of tools and even optimise and import any existing or a 3rd party city model. It is also easy to pair with 3rd party databases, custom databases and 3rd party 3D models.”

Import Existing 3D city models into Plan.City

Designed to be a stable, expandable platform, Plan.City shows is capable of working with large 3D city models datasets. Powered by a versatile game engine Unreal Engine from Epic Games, the platform can be used for PlanTech applications straight out of the box. Customers can either import existing 3D city models, commission a 3rd party to create a 3D model or commission AccuCities to create the 3D city model, which will be used as a cornerstone dataset for any digital twin application.
