What is the difference between renders and animations made in UE4 and UE5? Today, we are releasing an “almost-free” UE4 English College Project on Unreal Engine Marketplace (€5.73). However, you can now download the Unreal Engine 5 version here completely free!  It is a great opportunity to compare the renders and animations created in both versions of this popular game engine.

As part of a series of free 3D city models tutorials sponsored by AccuCities, we are also releasing an instruction video on how to make these renders and animations. The tutorial was once again made by Francisco Leal from Portugal, an excellent UE5 developer/tutor who will shower you with loads of tips and tricks and direct comparisons of specific parts of renders and animations.

English College UE4 project on Unreal Engine Marketplace

This inexpensive (£4.99) UE4 project can be downloaded directly from Unreal Engine Marketplace here. The project contains several high-detail models from the AccuCities LOD4 collection that depict a realistic English College. The project comes bundled with realistic textures, meshes, materials and other elements that allow users to both immerse themselves in this realistic environment as well as use it in their own productions.

Realistic models and textures depict a typical old-fashion English College. Includes dozens of ready-to-use buildings and props, 212 materials, 20 material instances and 347 textures. 3D context models are meant to be used with Dynamic Lighting and content from the Starter Content, the “A Boy and his Kite” demo. The Sun Position Calculator plugin has been enabled in the two levels that we provide with the asset pack.

Compare Renders & Animations made in UE4 and UE5

The very same English College project has now been released completely free as part of this video tutorial (download UE5 project here).

In this video tutorial, we are comparing the differences between a high-quality 3D context model project in Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5. The video will teach any user, even beginners, some basic rendering and movie-making skills of both versions of this popular, free-to-use game engine. Users can follow the tutorial to create renders and animations in UE5, which are then directly compared with similar CGIs created in UE4.
