Plan.City is now Available in the Cloud

Plan.City, an Unreal Engine 4-powered urban planning app by AccuCities, is now available in the cloud! The cloud version offers added flexibility and accessibility with high reliability and availability of the app. What’s even better is that it is now available to all subscribers.

Although the high-spec gaming laptop required to run the stand-alone version of Plan.City can be utilized to run other demanding software packages, it is often heavy and cumbersome to carry around to client meetings. The cloud solution eliminates this need for upfront investments in hardware and infrastructure. 

The Plan.City app can now be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. This flexibility allows users to access the app from various devices, including desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets.

The Plan.City app runs on a robust infrastructure with redundant systems, data backups, and failover mechanisms designed and implemented by our Cloud computing partner The GRID Factory. The platform was designed with a minimum of N+1 to provide resilient everything. High speed dual 10GbE internet connectivity from our ISP and secure dual Firewalls and Core Switches ensure that the platform is both fast and safe for us and our clients.

The Virtual Machines are dynamic and move between the physical Servers in the event of a hardware failure and load balancing provides the best performance. Within our Datacenter, resilient power feeds are used to maintain uptime and availability. The GRID Factory has customised the cloud platform to provide reliable services with built-in fault tolerance for Plan.City Cloud.

Plan.City is an urban planning app by AccuCities. Its users can visualise and manipulate large city environments and answer some of the most common urban planning questions.
