Trials are over and AccuCities textured 3D Model of London is now available to all customers! This new dataset was created by wrapping our large and detailed Level 3 city model in editable textures from the latest 2020 high-resolution oblique imagery. The 3D model covers 60 km sq and can be purchased from as little as 500 x 500 meters tile.

Users can turn textures on/off for individual terrain layers, remove a building without creating a hole in the model, upgrade any of the geometry or textures and even manipulate any of the trees in the trees layer individually.

Affordable, Accurate & Editable 3D city model

The textured 3D London model has been produced as an upgrade of our High Detail model, the result is a separated 3D model wrapped in editable textures. AccuCities textured 3D Model of London still retains its lightweight geometry and high accuracy.

“Adding the development of the production line, pre-processing, the texturing process itself, post-processing and the quality check, it took us almost 2 years to get here,” says Sandor Petroczi, AccuCities Director. “That is a very long product development runway for a small company like ours and we took a great risk trying to put everything together. Our brief was so ambitious, reading it after 2 years sounds almost comical. Each of the 240 tiles had to be UV mapped individually. All layers and objects in each tile had to be UV mapped individually. And we were applying 2020 oblique aerial imagery onto the model originally created from 2016 imagery, recently updated from 2019 imagery. The whole project relied on thousands of moving parts, some of which we didn’t have much control over, to work out. I am almost in humble disbelief of what the team has managed to create.

We believe that all the time, energy and treasure spent on this project was well worth it. This revolutionary 3D London model is a true game-changer, putting our customers at a significant advantage against their competitors. It sets a new bar, a new standard of expected visual fidelity, usability and quality of the London context model. It is already generating a lot of interest from new potential users.
