AccuCities textured 3D Model of London 2021 is available to customers in Plan.City app but also in FBX, UE4 project, and now also in a Unity project format. Customers working in the Unity game engine will no longer need to import tiles into the environment; the required tiles or the entire large London model can be delivered as FBX files but also already imported into Unity.

The model, produced as an upgrade of our Level 3 city model, is wrapped in editable textures. That means that unlike previously produced textured London models, AccuCities textured 3D Model of London still retains its light-weight geometry and high accuracy.

Large accurate textured London city model in Unity

AccuCities 3D model of London has been textured from 2020 imagery and covers 60 square kilometers. The digital city model covers the entire City of London and large areas of Westminster, Southwark and Tower Hamlets. The model is structured in 500×500 meters tiles as well as in layers such as buildings, roads, man-made surfaces, green spaces, or river. Each buildings block is also separated, making the model very easy to work with and upgrade.

Unity for Architecture and Engineering

Unity is so much more than the world’s best real-time development platform – it’s also a robust ecosystem designed to enable your success. It allows developers to create once and deploy across 25+ leading platforms and technologies to reach the largest possible audience. No longer “just” a game engine, the new suite of Unity Reflect products help you connect BIM data, stakeholders, and every phase of the architecture, engineering and construction lifecycle in one immersive, collaborative real-time platform.

“We have been watching the development of Unity for a while now, but it has only been in the last 12 months that our regular customers started to employ this game engine in their processes beyond R&D,” says Sandor Petroczi, AccuCities Director. “To save time and effort for everyone, we have decided to import the textured Level 3 model of London into the Unity environment ourselves. The model is now available to all 3D London model subscribers as well as to any customer purchasing textured 3D London tiles. We certainly hope our customers will find the availability in this format useful and time-saving.”
